When designing Miramat, we wanted to use only the highest grade, sustainable materials. It was also important for us to use materials that had the right combination of strength, sustainability and comfort.
Since most practitioners use strength, cardio, yoga and stretching in combination, it didn't make sense to us to have multiple mats at home for different purposes. We wanted to design a mat that was the best in each of these areas, without compromises. It needed to be better than every other yoga mat and every other exercise mat, combined!

How is Miramat made?
Miramat is made using only the highest grade, sustainable materials. It was important for us to use materials that had the right combination of strength, sustainability and comfort. It has a micro-structured surface for unmatched friction.
How can I store my Miramat when I am not using it?
Every Miramat comes with two straps for easy roll-up, storage and transportation.
Does Miramat work on a carpet?
Miramat has been designed for optimal performance on carpets. It is heavy enough to hold the mat down onto the floor and provide a solid foundation even on high-pile carpets. It will not stain your carpet in any way.
We have optimised the bottom surface so that Miramat will not move around when doing workouts on a carpet. But please be aware that not all carpets are the same, and there are unlimited variations in materials, thickness, density and softness.
Although you will not find a better mat for use on carpets, we cannot guarantee that it will work on all carpets. In the unlikely event that you are not happy with how Miramat performs on your carpet, we will take the mat back for a full refund.
What is the size of Miramat?
Miramat is big! It is double, triple or quadruple the size of regular exercise mats.
Miramat comes in three sizes:

Is Miramat suitable for rope jumping?
Miramat is ideal for rope jumping:
-It provides plenty of space.
-It will cushion the repetitive impacts to protect your joints.
-It will protect your floor.
-It will not be damaged by even the heaviest of ropes.
-You can jump rope while wearing shoes.
Is Miramat water resistant?
Yes! Water will not damage your Miramat. You can leave it out on your balcony in the rain, use it on a dewy lawn or even hose it down.
However, it is important that you let the mat dry completely before using it, to avoid slipping.
Why is Miramat so big?
We've found that the regular width of exerrcise and yoga mats is so narrow that it significantly restricts your movement. Therefore, we decided to more than double the size, so that you can focus on your exercise instead of finding your balance on a narrow strip of mat.
How thick is Miramat?
7mm. It is more than double the thickness of regular yoga mats. It is made of high-density material that gives you just the right cushioning against a hard floor surface.
Can weights be dropped onto the mat?
Miramat works great with heavy weights like dumbbells, kettlebells and barbells. However, it has not been designed to have such weights drop onto it from a height.
If you are doing bodybuilding-style workouts and want to be able to drop heavy dumbbells from an upstanding position, a double or triple layer of Miramats (depending on the weights) will do the trick.

Will I slip during my hot yoga sessions?

I live in an apartment block. Can the Miramat reduce impact and noise?
Yes, Miramat is made from shock-absorbing materials that will also absorb and reduce sound.
Can I use the Miramat on any surface type?
Yes, it works well on any surface type: carpet, tiles, wood, concrete, epoxy, garage, and even grass.
I just received my Miramat. Why is it not as grippy as I expected?
Your mat may have some oil residues from the production on its surface when you receive it. To unlock the grip of the mat, you need to do a thorough clean before first use.
Here are the steps we recommend:
1. Put some mild dishwashing liquid on a damp towel.
2. Rub across your mat's surface until small bubbles start forming.
3. Rinse towel.
4. Wring towel.
5. Use towel to wipe soap residues off the mat.
6. Let your mat dry completely before using.
Which side of the Miramat do I use?
The top surface has micro-ribs for maximum friction for the person. This is the surface you exercise on.
The dotted underside is specially designed to prevent Miramat from sliding on any floor surface.
Can I put my treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike or any other gym equipment on a Miramat?
Yes, absolutely. Miramat will protect your floor and provide extra support and padding for any of your equipment.
Does the Miramat come in different colors?
The Miramat only comes in black.
I just received my Miramat. Will it get softer?
Miramat is a high-end mat that will keep getting better with use and time. It will require an initial break-in to unleash its full potential. The surface will grow softer with use and provide even better friction. If you are doing cardio exercises with shoes, the mat will break in over a week or two. Slightly longer for other exercises.
Can I use my Miramat outside?
Absolutely!
Our mats are UV resistant and waterproof. You can leave your mat out on your balcony exposed to the weather. You do not need to worry about bringing the mat back in after every workout.
You can bring your Miramat out on the lawn for an early morning yoga session, even if the grass is dewy.

How do I clean my Miramat?
The Miramat is easily cleaned by applying some mild soap with a damp towel. Here are the steps we recommend:
